Neighborhood Watch groups look out for each other and their neighborhood, and they act as an extra set of eyes and ears for the police department.  The National Crime Prvention council says Watch groups have helped reduce crime in some communities by as much as 50%.

To help our community here in Chino Valley, we are looking for citizens that are interested in assisting the Chino Valley Police Department with the development and organization of Neighborhood Watch Programs Town wide.  Our first step in this process is to find Watch Block Captains.  To do this we will be holding an informational meeting:

What:  Recruitment for Block Watch Captains

When:  Tuesday February 17th from 7 to 9 pm.

Why:  Neighborhood Watch is a crime prevention program that enlists the active participation of citizens in cooperation with law enforcement to reduce crime in their communities.
