Kids Can Paint Ponies at the Phippen

On Saturday, August 30th, 2014, from 1 to 2PM, the Phippen Museum is offering a very special art workshop for young people ages 6 to 16. Called Paint your Ponies!, this fun-filled activity offers young horse enthusiasts and budding Western artists an opportunity to paint their very own, 3-dimensional Breyer® horse sculpture. Participants can design their ponies to look like Palominos, Quarter Horses, Appaloosas, or any other breed they can think of, real or imagined. The cost is only $5 per child and includes all materials plus admission to the museum. But pre-registration is required and space is limited, so don’t wait. Call the museum to register your child today.

The Paint your Ponies! art workshop accompanies Hold Your Horses!, the Phippen Museum’s current exhibition and sale paying tribute to the horse, that powerful, loyal and hardworking companion of all mankind and true symbol of the American West. This unique invitational presentation is on display now through October 26th, 2014.

The Phippen Museum is located just a few minutes north of downtown Prescott at 4701 Highway 89 North and admission is $7 for adults, $6 for AAA members, $5 for students with ID, and free for museum members and children twelve and under. For additional information on this or any other event at the museum, please visit their website, or call (928)778-1385.
