JOB TITLE:  Radio Shine Bookkeeping Assistant

CLASSIFICATION:  Part-time – 15 Hours/week – $12/hour  3 days/week   Monday, Wednesday & Friday

REPORTS TO:  Financial Director, Marcia Montgomery

 

SUMMARY

The Radio Shine Bookkeeping Assistant provides direct assistance to the Financial Director for data entry, mail and donation processing as well as business underwriter contract processing. We’re looking for people who have a passion for people to come to a living faith in Jesus Christ and want to serve Him through radio. Must have at least 5 years bookkeeping and/or accounting experience and Non-Profit experience is a plus.  Must be a team player, ready to work with an energetic team. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Data Entry

  • Learn and become proficient with Allegiance Donor Software
  • Enter listener names and contact information in the Radio Shine data base, Allegiance, accurately.
  • Assign proper coding for financial gifts
  • Maintain mailing lists including Church, Business, No Mail and Donor lists
  • Generate segmented reports as requested

 

Mail Processing

  • Learn and follow mail accountability standards
  • Open and batch mail containing cash or check donations

 

Donation Processing

  • Demonstrate a trustworthy ability to safeguard donor financial information
  • Process Credit Card gifts
  • Receipt donations daily
  • Follow donation-batching procedures
  • Record donations matching donor accounts
  • Prepare bank deposits

 

Business Underwriting

  • Produce monthly reports of expiring agreements
  • New Agreements: set up account, Assign CART number,

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Ministry/service/non-profit organization experience
  • Notary

 

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • A personal relationship with Jesus Christ and an active Christian commitment
  • Highest standard of personal and professional integrity
  • Five years bookkeeping and/or accounting experience
  • Possesses excellent organizational, analytical skills
  • Proven ability to learn new software programs and adapt quickly
  • Quick Books, Word, Excel
